This type of treatment, also known as "lazy yoga massage", has been taught and practised in Thailand for thousands of years.
It is a very energising form of therapy. In essence, we use hands, knees, legs and feet to apply pressure with specific massage techniques and move you into a series of yoga-like stretches. Indeed, the main focus of this dynamic therapy is to "enhance movement"; that's why people often claim that Thai massage is like yoga, minus the effort, with many of the following benefits.
As a result, you may experience relief from stress and muscular tension. Let your body (including your head and neck!) move freely!

WHAT TO EXPECT
If you don't like to undress for a massage for any reason, then Traditional Thai massage is a good choice as you will wear thin clothing, such as sportswear. Depending on your preference, we can perform the massage on a futon on the floor or a massage table. We won't use any oil unless you decide to try our Thai and Deep tissue combo treatment.
Even though both Thai Yoga Massage & Deep tissue massage are super effective treatments to release muscle tension and improve range of mobility, these therapies differ in many ways. Not only the massage techniques are very different, but also the philosophies, the use of oil, how clients dress, and some of their benefits.
At A to Zen therapies, we do love both these treatments indeed. Our usual approach is to mix elements of both and thus adapt the treatment to suit your needs best.
