What is Traditional Therapeutic Thai Yoga Massage?
Would you like to feel your body really open and stretched out? You will be amazed by the range of movements that having a Thai massage can give you!
Thai massage, also known as “lazy yoga massage”, has been taught and practised in Thailand for thousands of years.
Thai massage is a very energising form of therapy. We use hands, knees, legs and feet to apply pressure and move you into a series of yoga-like stretches. Indeed, the main focus in Thai Massage is "enhance movement", that's why people often claim that Thai massage is like yoga, minus the effort, with many of the following benefits.
Why choose Therapeutic Thai Yoga Massage?
Improve your Range of Motion and Flexibility
Relax and Unwind
Enjoy being stretched out!
If you don't like to undress for a massage for any reason, it is good to know that Traditional Thai massage is done through thin clothing, such as sportswear. Thai massage is performed on a futon on the floor and not on a massage table like Swedish / Deep tissue treatment and no oil or lotion is required.
Even though both Thai Yoga Massage & Swedish / Deep tissue massage are super effective treatments to release muscle tension and improve range of mobility, these massage therapies differ in many ways, such as in the techniques used, the philosophies, the use of oil, how clients dress, and some of their benefits.
At A to Zen therapies, we do love both these treatments. Our usual approach is to mix elements of both and adapt the treatment to suit your needs in the best way.
