HOW TO MAKE AN EFFECTIVE HOMEMADE HAND SANITIZER WITH AN EASY RECIPE
Updated: Apr 26
Discover the 3 simple ingredients to make a DIY antibacterial hand sanitizer gel.

If you have tried to buy hand sanitizer lately, and you didn't have any luck, here is a simple solution for you.
OPTION 1:
To make your DIY Hand sanitizer you will only need three simple ingredients.
3/4 of a cup of Alcohol: Get one with the highest alcohol percentage, such a cheap bottle of vodka.
1/4 of a cup of Aloe vera gel: You can get this in most health food stores. If you have an aloe vera plant in your garden, that would be even better. You will only need to strip off the skin and blend the flesh until it becomes a smooth gel.
10-20 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil: This is the best essential oil you can use for disinfectant purposes. It has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and anti-fungal properties. My favourite brand is Doterra as they only produce really high quality and therapeutic grade essential oils. If this seems to be too expensive for you and you get another brand, just make sure it is 100% essential tea tree oil.
Combine all ingredients and pour the mixture into a sterilised container, such as a glass spray bottle or reuse the one that came with the alcohol.
OPTION 2:
The World Health Organisation has also provided a “recipe” to make a homemade hand sanitizer which seems to be even more effective against the virus. The ingredients are slightly more difficult to be found, but I thought to include this alternative too:
2 cups of Alcohol
3 teaspoons of Glycerol
1 tablespoon of hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 of a cup of Distilled (or cooled, boiled) water
